Responsible for managing financial risk, optimising resource allocation, and ensuring the airline’s financial health to support strategic growth and operational efficiency.

A/CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER – CAPTAIN SAMIU TAUFA, MBE

A respected, experienced and highly qualified aviation professional, commencing his career with Air Niugini as a cadet pilot, has excelled through the organisation to his current role as Boeing 767 Captain, General Manager Flight Operations and Acting Chief Operating Officer.

CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER – MR. DAVID GLOVER, ML

An experienced commercial and operational aviation professional with extensive experience in Papua New Guinea and the UK.

A/GM- QUALITY SAFETY, RISK & AUDIT – MR. MARCO McCONNELL, ML

Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across the airline’s operations. This role is responsible for implementing the safety management system, conducting audits, and promoting a just safety culture across the organisation to ensure compliance with domestic and international standards and regulations.

CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER – MS. RITCHILYN BARRIOS

An experienced qualified aviation HR and People Capital professional with a track record in industrial relations and skills and capacity enhancement.

CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER – MS. BENNETH KOME

An experienced qualified aviation legal professional operating across regional jurisdictions. Provides strategic legal advice, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations whilst managing legal risks.

CHIEF PROTOCOL AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS OFFICER – MR. AYANG MELAN

A highly experienced and respected executive responsible for managing the airline’s diplomatic and ceremonial engagements ensuring strict adherence to protocol. Mr. Melan is a long-serving member of Air Niugini with a solid working relationship with agencies across the PNG government.
