AIR NIUGINI RESUMES BRISBANE FLIGHTS!

March 8, 2025

Air Niugini is pleased to inform our valued customers that the airline will resume its services to Brisbane, Australia, tomorrow, Sunday, 9th March, following assessments on Ex Tropical Storm Alfred and the re-opening of Brisbane airport.

PX003 departs Port Moresby at the usual time of 10:30am and arrives in Brisbane at 1:40pm. The return PX004 flight departs Brisbane at 2:40pm and arrives in Port Moresby at 5:50pm.

The severe weather conditions in Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales have eased, allowing flights to resume. Air Niugini and other airlines suspended Brisbane flights last Thursday after Cyclone Alfred affected the area and as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of its passengers, crew, and aircraft.

Air Niugini will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates if there are any changes to this announcement.

Customers are advised to check the Air Niugini website (www.airniugini.com.pg) and follow our official social media channels for the latest updates.

We wish to sincerely thank our valued customers for their patience and understanding during this period of disruption, as a result of the storm. The safety and welfare of you and our employees remains our priority.
