QUALITY ASSURANCE AUDITOR   – AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE & AIRWORTHINESS

Air Niugini is looking for a committed Quality Assurance Auditor – Aircraft Maintenance & Airworthiness to join our dynamic Quality & Safety Department team. You will be tasked with conducting compliance and conformance audits and investigates findings both in PNG and overseas. Key Responsibilities

  1. Carrying out Aircraft Maintenance & Airworthiness in accordance with corporate audit procedures and the approved Annual Audit program, including:
  • Planning and performance assigned responsibilities
  • Gathering objectives evidence
  • Carrying out casual analyses
  • Raising audit findings
  • Documenting observations
  • When acting as Audit Team Leader, completing an audit report.
  1. Supporting the Audit Team leader
  2. Advising Level 2 auditors as requested by the Manager Audit and Surveillance, particularly during a new Level 2 auditor’s initial familiarisation period.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of the PNG Civil Aviation Rules (CARs) and IOSA ISARPs.
  • Familiarity with engineering concepts and principles and awareness of Aircraft systems and operations.
  • Knowledge of engineering departments policies, procedures and documentation.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of auditing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical ability, logical thinking ability and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to conduct a complex compliance and conformance audit and a complex investigative audit, including gathering objective evidence, carrying out causal analysis, raising complex audit findings, documenting observations and (when acting as Audit Team Leader) completing a comprehensive audit report without assistance.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Engineering degree or Minimum three years’ experience with an Aircraft Maintenance organization or Aircraft Maintenance planning.
  • Must have successfully completed additional auditor training or relevant tertiary education acceptable to the Manager Audit and Surveillance and/or be a registered auditor
